PLEASE READ THIS PRIVACY POLICY CAREFULLY.  This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) sets forth our policies and practices regarding the collection, use, transfer, and disclosure of certain information about you (“user,” “you” or “your”) arising out of your use of or access to the websites of Responsible AI Licensing (“RAIL,” “we,” “us,” and “our”) located at http://www.licenses.ai/ (collectively, “Website”), and other RAIL-provided services, products, and applications that link to or display this Privacy Policy (collectively with the Website and RAIL-provided products and services, the “RAIL Platform”).  By accessing or using the RAIL Platform, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use.  If you do not agree to the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, please immediately stop accessing the RAIL Platform.

Information That RAIL May Collect

RAIL has the ability to collect personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) and non-personally identifiable information that does not identify you.  Personal Information that RAIL may collect includes information that you may provide to us that personally identifies you such as your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, gender, information for processing transactions such as your billing information, and any other information that is linked or linkable to you, such as health information, location information, information about tasks you completed or buttons clicked on the RAIL Platform, and personal preferences.

RAIL may also collect information that does not personally identify you such as device-specific information, the media access control address, browser type, unique device identifiers, operating system, internet protocol (IP) address, internet service provider, number of users on the RAIL Platform, time spent and number of sessions on the Website, and information related to traffic patterns on the RAIL Platform.

Purpose of Data Collection: We collect and process your Personal Information for the following purposes:

●      To improve and develop products, services, or websites.

●      To conduct research or analysis.

How RAIL May Collect and Use Information

We may collect information about you that you provide to us (such as when you sign up on the RAIL Website), through the RAIL Platform, or from your device when you access the RAIL Platform.  We may collect information about you or device and usage information through the various methods set forth below when you use the RAIL Platform:

Analytics.  We may use analytics such as Google Analytics.  Google Analytics is a Google tool used for web analysis that allows us to understand how users engage with the RAIL Platform.  We also use Google Analytics for Firebase to collect usage and aggregate data for the RAIL Platform.  Google Analytics may use cookies to collect usage and device data.  Cookies are small bits of information cached or stored on a computer, mobile, or other device of a user for record keeping purposes. Cookies may be used for many purposes, including remembering you and your preferences or tracking your usage in order to improve the RAIL Platform or provide you with services available through the RAIL Platform.  Most web browsers automatically accept cookies; however, you can usually change your browser settings to refuse all cookies or indicate when a cookie is being sent.  If you choose to disable cookies, some parts of the RAIL Platform may not function properly or may be considerably slower, or some features may not be available to you.  For more information on Google Analytics, please visit www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners.

Web Beacons.  We may use web beacons, images or objects placed on web pages or in emails, for email tracking, monitoring activity or traffic patterns of users on the RAIL Platform, auditing, or improving the performance of the RAIL Platform.

Social Media.  We may integrate certain parts of the RAIL Platform with social networking platforms or include social media widgets, which allow you to visit, share and interact with the RAIL Platform on social networking platforms (e.g., Facebook, X, or Google+LinkedIn).  These features may collect your IP address, which pages you are visiting, and may set a cookie to enable features to function properly.  You have the option to log in to the RAIL Platform using your Facebook account or Google account. If you elect to do so, Google or Facebook will provide us your authentication information such as your name, email address, encrypted access credentials, and other information that you provided it, which we will use and disclose in accordance with this Privacy Policy. When you log in to the RAIL Platform using your Google or Facebook account, you acknowledge and agree that we may share information regarding your activity with RAIL with Google or Facebook.  Your interactions with these features and the manner in which Google and social networking platforms use, store, or disclose your information are governed by the privacy policy of the company providing the feature.  We shall have no liability or responsibility for the privacy practices of any social networking platforms that you enable related to the RAIL Platform.

Location data. We may collect data about your location, which can be either precise or imprecise. Precise location data can be Global Position System (GPS) data or geolocation data identified from nearby cell towers and Wi-Fi hotspots that we collect when you enable location-based features.  Imprecise location data includes, for example, a location derived from your IP address or data that indicates where you are located with less precision, such as at a city, state, or postal code level. We may also collect information that you manually enter on the RAIL Platform such as your city, state, or postal code.

Surveys and Promotions.  From time to time, we may request information, including Personal Information, from you through a survey on the RAIL Platform or via email.  Your participation in a survey is completely voluntary and you have a choice whether to provide the requested information.  We use the information and feedback that we receive from surveys to improve the RAIL Platform and enhance your experience with the RAIL Platform.  We may also, from time to time, offer promotions or contests, which may require you to provide certain Personal Information.

Messages and Notifications.  We collect information about your communications through the RAIL Platform.  Such information may include how many messages that you send, the date and time of the communications, or content of the communication.  We may use your information to send you messages related to the RAIL Platform or push notifications through the RAIL Platform.  If you no longer wish to receive push notifications from the RAIL Platform, you may change your settings on your device.

We may use the Personal Information that we collect from you to provide you with information and services that you request, provide offers or content related to the RAIL Platform, facilitate transactions, and if applicable, provide the support and services offered through a product or program for which you registered through the RAIL Platform.  We will use your email address or other contact information for administrative and customer service purposes or, for any issues related to your use of the RAIL Platform, and to provide you certain offers or marketing campaigns related to the RAIL Platform.

We may use information that does not personally identify you to operate, maintain, enhance, and provide all of the services, features and information found on the RAIL Platform.  We may also use the information that we collect to improve or develop products, services, or websites, conduct research or analysis, or comply with legal requirements.  We or third parties engaged by us may store information that we collect from you.

You may decline to provide any Personal Information to us while visiting and using the RAIL Platform.  If you choose not to provide any Personal Information, you may not be able to use the Website or RAIL Platform or certain aspects of the RAIL Platform, and we will not be able to provide you with some of the features and functionality of the RAIL Platform.  If you wish to access, amend, update, or delete your Personal Information, please contact us at the address below.

We may store information that we collect from you for a specific duration as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected. After this period, your data will be securely deleted, except in cases where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory reasons

Third Party Sites and Services

We or the RAIL Platform may provide links to other websites or resources maintained by third parties. You agree that we have no control over and are not responsible for those websites or resources or any information that you provide or may be collected by such third parties.  We encourage you to review the privacy practices of those third parties.

How We May Share Your Information

We do not share Personal Information with other organizations for marketing or promotional uses without your express consent.  However, there are certain instances in which we may share your Personal Information including use by third party agents or contractors acting for or on behalf of RAIL in connection with our website business, t o facilitate transactions or process payment, or for further processing in accordance with the original purposes of the collection of information, consistent with this Privacy Policy.  We may also disclose user information, if required to do so by law or to comply with state or federal laws or requests by law enforcement or governmental agencies.

International Data Transfers

If you are located in Europe and your data is transferred to the United States, we ensure that such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR. We may use standard contractual clauses or other appropriate safeguards to protect your data during these transfers

Security of Your Information

The security of your Personal Information is important to us.  We take steps to help safeguard your information that you provide to use through the RAIL Platform, for example, all chat messages sent through the RAIL Platform are encrypted using HTTPS.  However, no data or email transmission is ever fully secure or error free.  Therefore, please take special care in deciding what information to send us.  It is not possible to guarantee the security or integrity of information, particularly when transmitted through the internet.

Notice About Children’s Privacy

The RAIL Platform is not intended for children under 13 years of age, and we do not accept registration from anyone under the age of 18 years old.  If you are under the age of 13, please DO NOT USE the RAIL Platform.  No personally identifiable information (as defined in the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 15 U.S.C. § 6501 (“COPPA”) is purposefully or knowingly collected from children under the age of 13 by the Ladder Platform.  If you are a parent or guardian of a child under 13 years of age, and believe that he or she disclosed information to us, please contact us at the address below.  If we learn that we have collected or received Personal Information of persons under the age of 13 without verification of parental consent, we will exercise commercially reasonable efforts to delete such information.

Consent and Opt-Out

You have the option to decline to provide any Personal Information to us while visiting and using the RAIL Platform. If you choose not to provide any Personal Information, you may not be able to use certain aspects of the Responsible AI Platform. You can also opt-out of receiving certain communications and notifications by changing your settings on your device.

California Residents

If you are a California resident, California lawCalifornia Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits you to request and obtain from RAIL once a year, free of charge, a list of all third parties to which the company has disclosed certain personally identifiable information as defined under California law for such third parties’ direct marketing purposes in the preceding calendar year.  If you are a California resident and would like to make such a request, please contact us at the address below.

The California Online Privacy Protection Act (“CalOPPA”) requires RAIL to disclose how it responds to “Do Not Track” signals.  RAIL does not interpret or respond to “Do Not Track” signals. You may set your browser settings to reject or disable cookies or web beacons.  Please note that without enabling these features, your experience of the RAIL Platform may be hindered and you will not be able to take full advantage of the RAIL Platform features.  Modifications

RAIL reserves the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time.  We encourage you to revisit this page frequently to stay aware of any changes. This Privacy Policy was last updated on the date listed below.  If RAIL makes any material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will post a prominent notice on the RAIL Platform or send you an email at your last known email address.  Your continued use of the RAIL Platform constitutes your agreement to this Privacy Policy.
